Preparations, Precautions & Protocol for COVID-19

PREPARATIONS & PRECAUTIONS TO TAKE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

Keep in mind that symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus.

  • If you attend a social gathering (within an indoor space over an hour, i.e. weddings, birthday parties, etc.) with more than 5 people two weeks prior to your appointment, please reschedule* for a later date (at least two weeks after the date of the gathering).

  • Practice social distancing and wearing a mask in indoor public spaces (i.e. grocery stores, etc.)

  • Please mark your calendar 2 weeks before your appointment and be extra cautious about your whereabouts and personal hygiene (wear mask & wash hands before touching face).

  • Come to your appointment by yourself.

  • If you have been exposed in any way by an infected space or person two weeks before your appointment, please reschedule*.

  • Bring any kind of mask/(2- layer scarf covering nose and mouth) to wear for your appointment.

  • You will not be able to get tattooed if you display any symptoms of coughing on your appointment date. Please reschedule* for a later date when you have no symptoms.

  • If you have allergies symptoms (sneezing or coughing, because you could be asymptomatic/pre-symptomatic), please reschedule* your appointment when any of these symptoms appear even if it is the morning of your appointment (your deposit will still be honored for the rescheduled appointment)

  • If you test positive for COVID-19 AFTER your appointment (2 weeks later), please contact me so that I can prepare to quarantine and contact everyone I've been in contact with.

  • If you have already gotten COVID-19 before your scheduled appointment date, please contact me so that we can discuss a reschedule date.

RECOGNIZING SYMPTOMS

Symptoms that may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus:

  • Fever

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Chills

  • Repeated shaking with chills

  • Muscle pain/aches

  • Headache

  • Sore throat

  • New loss of taste or smell

PROTOCOL FOR CONDUCTING BUSINESS DURING COVID-19 (Artist is solely See See Kwan)

Phase One (when shelter in place is lifted)

  • Monitor health and for the above symptoms before appointment between artist (myself) and client.

  • Artist and client should check for symptoms before each appointment, and before entering the facility with use of non-contact infrared forehead thermometer. Any changes in health will require a reschedule (deposit will still apply).

  • Prior to appointment, disinfect/sanitize all surfaces that may come in contact with client and artist.

  • Only allow client, without guest(s), to appointment.

  • Everyone must wear face covering and artist should change mask between appointments.

  • Artist will wear a face shield and face mask during tattoo procedure.

  • Client must wear face covering to enter facility until the procedure is complete and the client has exited the facility.

  • Follow CDC & WHO recommendations for disinfection, hygiene, & air filtration. (Currently the studio has 2 air purifiers with UV, and one air circulating fan)

  • Window is open at all times when weather permits.

  • Toilet areas should be disinfected/sanitized regularly.

  • Client will sanitize their hands (with touchless alcohol spray dispenser) before and after handling tablet surface for signing consent/release form.

  • Prior to leaving the workday, disinfect/sanitize all cleanable surfaces that may have come in clients and artist.

  • On multiple client days, allow for at least 45 minutes between scheduled tattoo appointments for new air to cycle.


Phase Two (when a vaccine is available)

  • Monitor health before appointment, artist and client should check for symptoms.

  • Prior to appointment, disinfect/sanitize all surfaces that may come in contact with client and artist.

  • Client guests (up to two) are welcome.

  • Artist will wear mask during tattoo procedure and artist should change mask between appointments.

  • Face covering is optional for client, but encouraged.

  • Follow CDC & WHO recommendations for disinfection, hygiene, & air filtration.

  • Toilet areas should be disinfected/sanitized regularly.

  • Prior to leaving the workday, disinfect/sanitize all cleanable surfaces that may have come in clients and artist.
