Preparations, Precautions & Protocol for COVID-19

PREPARATIONS & PRECAUTIONS TO TAKE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

Keep in mind that symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus.

  • You have not attended a social gathering such as a birthday party/wedding/social event/church/dinner event/holiday party/funeral (even if masks are worn) of more than 5 new people (outside safe bubble) two weeks prior to your appointment. please reschedule* for a later date (at least two weeks after the date of the gathering).

  • If you have a roommate that has not been transparent about their whereabouts 2 weeks prior to your appointment, please reschedule.

  • You have not eaten indoors at a public restaurant 2 weeks prior to your appointment

  • If you have been exposed in any way by an infected space or person two weeks before your appointment, please reschedule.

  • You have been social/physical distancing and wearing a mask in public spaces (grocery stores), and washing/sanitizing hands (before touching your face), for at least 2 weeks before your scheduled appointment, and are feeling healthy up to the day of your tattoo appointment.

  • You are able to bring any kind of mask covering for the nose and mouth to wear during the entire appointment

  • You must come to your appointment by yourself. If you require the accompaniment of someone, please reschedule for February or later (so that we limit exposure in any way)

  • If you require that someone not living with you must give you a ride (Bart/Uber/bus) please reschedule for February or later

  • You currently do not have symptoms of sneezing or dry cough. You will not be able to get tattooed if you display any symptoms of coughing on your appointment date. Please reschedule* for a later date when you have no symptoms. Even if symptoms show the morning of your appointment your deposit will still be honored for the reschedule

  • If you test positive for COVID-19 AFTER your appointment (2 weeks later), please contact me so that I can prepare to quarantine and contact everyone I've been in contact with.

  • If you have already gotten COVID-19 before your scheduled appointment date, please contact me so that we can discuss a reschedule date.

* to reschedule your appointment, please use the green button "change/cancel" on your email confirmation.

RECOGNIZING SYMPTOMS

Symptoms that may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus:

  • Fever

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Chills

  • Repeated shaking with chills

  • Muscle pain/aches

  • Headache

  • Sore throat

  • New loss of taste or smell

PROTOCOL FOR CONDUCTING BUSINESS DURING COVID-19 (Artist is solely See See Kwan)

Phase One

  • Monitor health and for the above symptoms before appointment between artist (myself) and client.

  • Artist and client should check for symptoms before each appointment, and before entering the facility with use of non-contact infrared forehead thermometer. Any changes in health will require a reschedule (deposit will still apply).

  • Prior to appointment, disinfect/sanitize all surfaces that may come in contact with client and artist.

  • Only allow client, without guest(s), to appointment.

  • Everyone must wear face covering.

  • Artist will wear a face shield and face mask during tattoo procedure.

  • Client must wear face covering to enter facility until the procedure is complete and the client has exited the facility.

  • Follow CDC & WHO recommendations for disinfection, hygiene, & air filtration. (Currently the studio has 2 air purifiers with UV, and one air circulating fan)

  • Window is open at all times when weather permits.

  • Toilet areas should be disinfected/sanitized regularly.

  • Client will sanitize their hands (with touchless alcohol spray dispenser) before and after handling tablet surface for signing consent/release form and when returning from restroom.

  • Prior to leaving the workday, disinfect/sanitize all cleanable surfaces that may have come in clients and artist.

  • On multiple client days, allow for at least 45 minutes between scheduled tattoo appointments for new air to cycle.


Phase Two (1 year after vaccine is available)

  • Monitor health before appointment, artist and client should check for symptoms.

  • Prior to appointment, disinfect/sanitize all surfaces that may come in contact with client and artist.

  • Client guests (up to two) are welcome.

  • Artist will wear mask during tattoo procedure.

  • Face covering is optional for client, but encouraged.

  • Follow CDC & WHO recommendations for disinfection, hygiene, & air filtration.

  • Toilet areas should be disinfected/sanitized regularly.

  • Prior to leaving the workday, disinfect/sanitize all cleanable surfaces that may have come in clients and artist.
